Goodwill Stores
The Goodwill Operation, which is currently our greatest source of income for services and programmes, encompasses two second hand stores and workshops where donations are processed.
Wesley Vintage, our newest store, which opened in July 2006, is situated in King Street in the Central Business District and is a popular shopping spot for many. New stock arrives in store daily and students, those on low incomes and people who just enjoy a bargain, call into the shop regularly. As well as clothing and accessories, Wesley Vintage stocks books, furniture and household items such as linen, silver, glassware and china.

Highbury House is situated in the Highbury Shopping Centre. It has been part of the Highbury Community since 1969 and enjoys good relations with the local community. We recently expanded into the space next door from which we now sell furniture’. Excellent bargains can be found in store including good quality clothing and accessories, household items, linen, curtains, books and now furniture.

Both stores run a Loyalty Card System that rewards regular customers. This has proved very popular since its introduction.
Goodwill Workshops
There are three Goodwill Workshops, located at the rear of Wesley Vintage, at the front of the Centre and in the Project Independence warehouse in Tremaine Avenue. These workshops are the life blood of the stores, where all donated goods are processed ready for sale. They rely heavily on volunteer input as well as a number of paid staff.
Donations are received via our bright yellow bins, which are located all over the city.
Our bright yellow bins are located at the following sites:
Donations are left in the bins, which are emptied several times a week. Donations are also left at the workshops and stores throughout the week. Alternatively we can be called to pick up larger items, such as furniture, or if you are unable to drop your donation off to us.
Another important aspect of the Goodwill Workshop is the sale of rags to local businesses. Clothing that is not suitable for sale in the shops, or which has not sold through the three shops (and is absorbent or cotton), is cut and bagged up for rags. These are then sold to engineering and other businesses around the town. Delivery is carried out weekly. You can contact the workshop on 06 354 5397
